"… stop and admire" — A reading from the novel about the painter Philipp Otto Runge and selected letters by Runge

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Gerhard Dallmann’s birth and as
a prelude to the Runge Year 2027, the Rungehaus in Wolgast invites you to
a reading by Hamburg actor Benjamin-Lew Klon.
In addition to his diverse artistic output and
poetic works—including the fairy tales “Vom Fischer un syner Fru” and
“Von dem Machandelboom”—we find a profound poetic quality in Philipp Otto
Runge’s letters. Gerhard Dallmann translates
Runge’s sensitive perception of art and reality
into accessible language.
Following the reading, we invite you to a discussion with Fabian Olbrich, the project director
of the 2027 Wolgast Runge Summer.
