Meret Louisa Vogel (flute) and Stefan Möbius (piano) will perform well-known melodies in a new guise at the third concert in the popular KON-Takte 2026 series at the Schwerin Conservatory. The concert entitled "Klangwandlungen" will take place on Friday, 17.04.2026 at 7 pm in the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal. It invites you to hear familiar pieces in a new way - perhaps surprisingly different, as the two musicians explore the question of what it sounds like when works written for viola, cello, violin or clarinet are interpreted on the flute instead.
Classical music often follows the principle of "faithfulness to the original": a work should be played as it is written in the score so that it remains recognizable regardless of the ensemble. Nevertheless, every performance is unique, as it is shaped by the interpretation of the musicians. The audience can look forward to an interesting concert with new listening perspectives: the varied presentation of the concert provides insights into the origins and arrangements of the works and shows how the flute brings its very own sound color.
The "Kreislaufhelden" team will provide suitable culinary accompaniment before the event and during the interval. Admission to the event costs 12 euros, concessions 8 euros. Tickets can be reserved by emailing Daniela Semlow at dsemlow@schwerin.de. Access to the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal is barrier-free.
