Exhibition series at tisch - café, coworking, event
In 2025, an exhibition series entitled IM KLEINEN RAHMEN was launched at tisch in Schwerin, a place that combines a café, coworking space and event area. Visitors to the café are greeted by contemporary art on a wall measuring over six meters as they enter. At a time when encountering and engaging with art seems essential and deserves a special place in our daily lives, tisch creates a place where art meets everyday life, where color values enrich the coffee, where the play of forms inspires work and artistic intentions flow into conversations. Every visit is a personal gain.
The exhibition series IM KLEINEN RAHMEN was initiated by art historian and curator Annekathrin Siems and illustrator and art director Karen Obenauf.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Drawings, collages and monotypes are both preparatory and complementary works to painting on canvas. Studies of nature, music and literature provide insight and point the way. In mostly comprehensive series of works, I show play and thinking spaces that follow diverse themes. Reflective thinking, a view from the outside in and vice versa, finds expression in my paintings. The interest and pleasure in forms, lines and surfaces in harmony with atmospheric insights permeates my pictorial world. I devote time to composition and like to combine spatiality, a certain sparseness with lyrical expression. Abstraction and narrative. The viewer is invited to stroll through spaces and levels, to follow the composition and my idea or to reinterpret the picture with inner eyes.
