Wedding music in the house of Bach
Festive wedding music is the focus of the concert with soprano Dorothee Mields and members of the youth baroque orchestra "Bachs Erben" Michaelstein under the musical direction of Raphael Alpermann. Dorothee Mields, one of the leading interpreters of 17th and 18th century music, has a special wedding present in her luggage. In addition to the cantata "Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten", BWV 202, she will perform a fictitious wedding cantata by J. S. Bach. The pasticcio consists of individual cantata movements - all of them "hidden gems" to be discovered.
