Do you want to finally write in peace again, but at home you’re constantly distracted by laundry, dishes, or your smartphone? Then come to Silent Writing at Café Marat.

We’ll make ourselves comfortable, have tea and coffee ready, turn off the music, and create a space where you can focus entirely on your writing project—whether it’s a novel, a journal, poetry, or simply that long-overdue idea you finally want to put down on paper.

If you’d like, you can leave your smartphone at the counter and immerse yourself completely in your writing for a while. In between, there’s time for a short break, a cup of coffee, and—if you’d like—a brief chat with other writers.

Stop by, find a cozy spot, and write in peace—together, but each on your own.

3:00–6:00 p.m.

Free admission; tea, coffee, and pastries available for a donation

Location: Literaturhaus Rostock (in the Peter-Weiss-Haus), Doberaner Str. 21, 18057 Rostock

A collaboration between Literaturhaus Rostock and Subraum eG.
