A murderer of women is up to mischief in the London fog. His victims are all blonde, and he always leaves a calling card at the crime scene: "The Avenger". The persona fits perfectly with the mysterious stranger who has taken up residence with an ordinary family. Gradually, the clues that make the new tenant (Ivor Novello) appear dangerous become more and more apparent. And Daisy, the landlords' daughter, is blonde...
For more than 17 years now, double bass player Simon Quinn has been writing new soundtracks for classics of the silent film era. For the 125th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's birth, he has composed a new score for "The Lodger" at the suggestion of the Savoy Cinema Bordesholm.
