Dance performance with "laborgras" from Berlin with Djamila Polo, Renate Graziadei and Abraham Iglesias Rodriguez
Violin: Midori Seiler
Harpsichord: Christian Rieger
The three sonatas BWV 1014, 1017 & 1019 from Johann Sebastian Bach's "Six Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord" prepare the ground for an extraordinary encounter between the dancers of the "laborgras" collective from Berlin and two early music specialists. While harpsichordist Christian Rieger and award-winning violinist Midori Seiler unfold their virtuoso playing, Djamila Polo, Renate Graziadei and Abraham Iglesias Rodriguez dance to the music of J.S. Bach. Lyrical and humorous, filigree and energetic elements blend into a poetic force in which music and dance form a continuous dialog and unity.
The dance evening "sinnestaumel" thus presents itself to the audience as a total work of art that combines contemporary dance with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and makes it possible to experience it in a new way through the interplay of costume and lighting design.
