Sailing spectacle in a class of its own: The Island of Rügen welcomes Germany's first SailGP event
On August 16 and 17, 2025, the town of Sassnitz on the picturesque Island of Rügen will become a hotspot for the international sailing scene. For the first time in Germany's history, a SailGP event will take place here - and the setting could not be more spectacular: the legendary chalk cliffs, the gently rising hills and the vastness of the Baltic Sea create the perfect backdrop for a race that promises action and adrenaline.
