Workshop and city walk through Neubrandenburg: historical planning documents, photos and urban spaces are read, discussed and rediscovered together.
Cracks: Walking and reading together with Jenny Krüger, Susanne Lüttich and Diana Lucas-Drogan as well as other contemporary witnesses
The cityscape of Neubrandenburg is characterized by ambiguity: Brick Gothic and Eastern Modernism collide with each other and create cracks in the acceptance and living qualities within the city. In this dynamic, the workshop participants will use the method of walking and reading together to explore the built environment as a lived and living archive. Reading original planning documents and photos of the urban upheavals in the city of Neubrandenburg will enable participants to explore the built environment as a lived and living archive. Reading original planning documents and photos of the urban upheavals of the city of Neubrandenburg enables us to try out the shared dialog of engaging with planning ideologies as material.
