The two authors Ellen Händler and Uta Mitsching-Viertel present their books "Unerhörte Ostfrauen - Lebensspuren in zwei Systemen" and "Problemzone Ostmann?
What were the realities of life like for women and men in the GDR? What freedoms and restrictions did both sexes experience in society, work, family and private life? These and other questions will be discussed against the backdrop of the exhibition "Women in Divided Germany" by the Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the Past, which is currently on display in the town hall.
