When over 700 stem roses bloom in Putbus, this wonderful white town on the island of Rügen, the PUTBUS FESTSPIELE take place in and around the very special classical theater.
Under the motto "Finding something special", you can expect a light, entertaining, profound and varied program with CHAMBER AND ORCHESTRA CONCERTS, MUSIC THEATRE and the series LISTEN AND.... You will experience excellent soloists and orchestras from near and far, music and theater for and with children, dance theater, border crossings and exciting stories.
The musical program is complemented by an additional focus on the Putbus art scene. Putbus artist Otto Sperlich will be showing works from his oeuvre and creating live images in two concerts.
The longest journey to the FESTSPIELEN will be made by the 10 dancers and musicians of the UNGIM ensemble from Korea, who are coming to Germany from their home country for just two performances (Berlin and Putbus).
