Vikings are an important part of Rügen's maritime history and shaped the Middle Ages with trade, piracy and war.
An interactive lecture in the Seafarers' House in Sellin complements the exhibition and provides insights into the way of life, gods, castles, warboats and weapons - you can even touch and try out one or two objects yourself.
