Presentation of the autobiography by renowned journalist and author Kai Hermann: “We, the Children of the Third Reich, or Why the World Didn’t Get Any Better.” Read by actor Reinhard Krökel.

Kai Hermann, who by the mid-1960s—in his early twenties—was already one of Germany’s best-known political journalists, recounts with sarcastic precision in his biographical sketches his childhood during the war, his youth in the postwar period, and his dramatic experiences as a reporter in war zones and crisis areas.

It becomes clear to the reader that it was only logical for Kai Hermann to become a journalist—even at the expense of himself and his family—in order to bring injustice and crimes to light.

His authentic account paints a grim picture of political events in the postwar years and serves as a warning to our own time. For Kai Hermann, it is not merely a matter of exposing crimes; rather, his credo is: “Every war is a crime. Every single one!”
