Pilates is a systematic full-body workout that focuses on strengthening the abdominal, pelvic floor, diaphragm, and back muscles. It builds what is known as a “muscle corset” to enable you to move your body efficiently and effectively. By consciously focusing on the body during the exercise sequences, participants also develop greater flexibility and better balance. The exercises are accompanied by specific breathing techniques that can either facilitate or challenge body movement.
