When the flickering candlelight meets the cozy living room atmosphere of our café, it's time again for the Apotheken Sessions. Once a month, we transform the room next door into a stage for special voices and handmade sounds. This time we are looking forward to an artist who has mastered the balance between fragility and strength like no other: Lisa Akuah.
About the artist Berlin singer-songwriter Lisa Akuah is no longer an insider tip in the indie folk scene. With her warm, soulful voice, she creates soundscapes that evoke comparisons with greats such as Daughter or Bon Iver, without losing her very own identity. Her music is a retreat - intimate, honest and infused with a quiet strength.
The new album: "Golden Seams" (2025) At the heart of their current program is their new work "Golden Seams". Inspired by the Japanese Kintsugi philosophy - in which broken ceramics are repaired with liquid gold to emphasize the scars instead of hiding them - Lisa sings about the beauty of imperfection. Her songs tell of healing, of the cracks in life and of the strength that grows from them.
