Lecture Series “Romanticism in Focus: Art Around 1800 and Its Reception”
This fall, the Caspar David Friedrich Society (e. V.) cordially invites you to a lecture series titled “Romanticism in Focus: Art Around 1800 and Its Reception.” The series aims to broaden perspectives on fascinating topics related to Romanticism and its influence on European art. The events take place on the fourth Wednesday of every month and are designed to offer art enthusiasts the opportunity to engage in conversation with one another.
This year’s series concludes with a lecture on November 25 at 5:30 p.m. by PD Dr. Holger Birkholz and Dr. Michael C. Schirren titled “Caspar David Friedrich and the Gützkow Megalithic Tomb.”
