The OSSIS & THE BERLIN SYMPHONY ENSEMBLE
Experience a grandiose evening full of musical memories from a lost world. For more than 20 years, five Berlin musicians, who ironically call themselves "DIE OSSIS", have been touring the new republic with a cross-section of GDR rock music history. The musicians themselves are part of this story, having played with Rockhaus, Inka Bause, Frank Schöbel and many other well-known GDR bands. The concert in the Konzertkirche Neubrandenburg promises to be a unique experience! "DIE OSSIS" have invited top-class guests for this evening: the outstanding singer Carie van Heden and the string players of the internationally renowned Berlin String Ensemble. Together they will give the classics of Ostrock a new, extraordinary sound dimension. Ostrock was much more than light music - it combined elements of rock, pop, jazz and classical music and conveyed messages full of depth. The lyrics spoke of space, earth and mankind, but also of love, frustration, anger and longing. Songs such as "Farbfilm", "Jugendliebe" or "Alt wie ein Baum" have not lost their appeal, impact and cult status even 35 years after reunification. These songs are part of the culture of remembrance for entire generations. Let yourself be carried away, indulge in memories or rediscover the music. Whether listening, singing along or dancing - everything is allowed on this evening!
