Classical, Jazz, and Improvisation
As artistic director, Kit Armstrong promises not only a musical treat but also unexpected auditory adventures. To that end, he has invited musicians to the island who share his passion for the unexpected — and so, right from the opening concert, he spans the spectrum from Johann Sebastian Bach to a late-Romantic quintet, before teaming up with jazz pianist Johanna Summer to set a tone that will accompany the audience throughout the entire festival spring: improvisation.
