Students present ideas on monument protection
On Tuesday, March 17 at 5 p.m., the exhibition "New for Old" will open in the hall.
Students from the Faculty of Design at Wismar University of Applied Sciences have developed ideas on monument protection in a course - in a cooperation project with the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs and the State Office for Culture and Monument Preservation MV (LAKD). They asked themselves questions such as:
- How can the topic of monument conservation be made interesting for young people?
- How can we get the younger generation interested in heritage conservation issues?
- How can we gain access to the young target group and establish heritage conservation as a relevant topic in a contemporary way?
The exhibition will be opened on March 17 in the presence of Minister Bettina Martin, the director of the LAKD MV, Dr. Ramona Dornbusch, the state archaeologist Dr. Detlef Jantzen, the supervising professor Björn Kernspeckt, Professor Dr. Christine Linke (Vice Dean External) and participating students.
Join us for the introduction and get into conversation with the participants at a small reception. Admission is free.
