Day of the open monument 2026
The Open Monument Day® is the largest cultural event in Germany. Since 1993, it has been coordinated nationwide by the German Foundation for Monument Protection (DSD), which is under the patronage of the Federal President.
The day of action, on which many otherwise inaccessible monuments are opened to the public, takes place annually on the second Sunday in September.
On this day, the Fritz Reuter Literature Museum invites all visitors to enter its rooms free of charge.
