Kevin James plays Matt, a recently jilted groom and American art teacher—this time without his usual over-the-top physical comedy. He had actually planned to spend a romantic honeymoon in Italy with his bride—who fled at the last minute—along with other newlyweds. Since the trip can neither be canceled nor postponed, he follows the advice of the hotel receptionist and decides to continue the trip as a single man. Riding alone on a tandem bike, he joins the bike tour and, of course, attracts everyone’s attention. You can’t help but feel for the sad, good-natured man, who only gradually begins to blossom again in the company of the lively hostess, Gina. She encourages him to open up more and take a risk, until he belts out a song for her in front of an audience—in a duet with Andrea Bocelli.
We’ll be welcoming our guests starting at 8:30 p.m. with the (free) Cinema Royale summer drink. Delicious grilled bratwursts will be on the menu.
