From the Salem Sailing Base, we set out across Lake Kummerow and the Peene River (the “Amazon of the North”) toward Neukalen. A guided one-day canoe tour for people of all ages. Also ideal for beginners.
We start our canoe trip in Salem on Lake Kummerow and paddle leisurely first across the lake and then down the Peene (the “Amazon of the North”) to Neukalen. There, we’ll enjoy a cool ice cream in the harbor of this small Mecklenburg town and paddle back, refreshed. Along the way, with a little luck, we’ll spot beavers and their lodges, grass snakes swimming by, and white-tailed eagles circling overhead. The tour is suitable for all ages. Even first-time paddlers will have a great time.
