Elisabeth Paul, Tom Lilburn - Alto/Countertenor, Dominic Bland, Nicholas Madden - Tenor, Andrew Thompson, Simon Whiteley - Bass
The Queens Six from Windsor Castle sing daily in the castle chapel on behalf of His Majesty and are celebrated with frenetic applause by audiences and the specialist press alike. "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" takes you on a musical journey into the world of secrecy through the centuries with a cappella music ranging from spies from the royal courts of Renaissance England to brand new arrangements of James Bond songs. Works from Byrd, Tallis to Bob Chilcott Coldplay & Billie Eilish ("No time to die") can be heard.
The professional ensemble was founded in 2008 to mark the 450th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth I. They regularly perform for the Royal Family at both private and state receptions. As recently as the funeral of Prince Philip in April 2021 and the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, they performed as part of the St Georges Chapel Choir in front of over 4 billion people on television.
The Queen's Six live within the walls of Windsor Castle, Queen Elizabeth II's weekend residence, where they perform the almost daily Evensongs and Services as part of the choir in St George's Chapel on the royal estate.
Lissie, the ensemble's soprano, Tom, Nick, Dom, Andrew and Simon perform in
outstanding quality and entertain their worldwide audience with brilliant
sounds. Despite the presumed conservative establishment, the repertoire is by no means outdated: whether medieval chants, Renaissance polyphony, "rough" madrigals, groovy folk songs or jazz and pop hits: the ensemble masters the change of styles with ease and is celebrated with frenetic applause.
The ensemble was founded in 2008 to mark the 450th anniversary of the coronation of Queen
