"Math Isn't Rocket Science" Science Show with Jo Hecker
Math doesn't have to be painful! And math can be really fun: How do you divide a pizza "by thumb and pi," but exactly and fairly? How do dice work? Can you walk through a postcard? We’ll do math with a microwave, create a highly complex “surface transformation” using a simple buttermilk carton, paint mathematically, do calculations with our fingers (and in our heads), and get to know—in the truest sense of the word—the sweet side of math.
This show is for everyone who’s always struggled a bit with math but has remained curious nonetheless.
Performances: 5:00–6:00 p.m. and 7:00–8:00 p.m.
For children and families.
