Winner of the Palm Dog Award at the Cannes Film Festival
As the sun sets over the Bodden, the harbors, and the Baltic Sea, the season of open-air nature films and special encounters begins on Fischland-Darß-Zingst. The Nature Film Nights offer a preview of the 22nd Darß Nature Film Festival, which will take place from October 6 to 11, 2026, on the Baltic Sea peninsula.
Film: “Hundschuldig”
Avril is a passionate lawyer who, however, keeps taking on hopeless cases. Since her boss is already threatening to fire her, she vows to win her next case. But then a desperate Dariuch walks into her office with his faithful dog, Cosmos. The dog has bitten three people and is scheduled to be euthanized. The chances of an acquittal are virtually zero, but a single glance into Cosmos’s sad eyes makes Avril forget her good intentions. She is determined to save her shaggy client by any means necessary and throws herself into the work. The case quickly takes on a life of its own. When the press gets involved alongside dog psychologists, lawyers, animal rights activists, and politicians, the trial threatens to spiral completely out of control.

Note: The event will take place outdoors and will go ahead even in light rain. In the event of a storm, the movie night will be moved to the Darßer Arche.
Blankets will be provided in limited quantities; however, please be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing. Beverages and snacks can be purchased on site. The Hafen-Bistro is open until the movie starts.
