An evening on the cult film by Wolfgang Kohlhaase and Konrad Wolf in a version by Judith Zieprig.
Caroline Siebert brings the character of Sunny back to life with every fiber of her being. At her side is her acting and singing partner Johannes Kirchberg, who effortlessly slips into the male roles both on screen and live, playing the piano with virtuosity and also singing for himself. In a one-woman performance, Caro Siebert maneuvers her way through this timeless story of the young artist Sunny, who fights for her art, love and recognition. Our SOLO SUNNY comes to the stage in a new version and production, but also with lots of new old music. In addition to the well-known songs from Günther Fischer's soundtrack, it is GDR hits by the Hansi Biebl Band as well as Silly, Uschi Brüning, the Modern Soul Band, Veronika Fischer and Manfred Krug that make this evening so special. Caroline Siebert effortlessly immerses herself in the unmistakable melancholy of the recently deceased Marianne Faithful, before showing that pop stars such as Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears also had the "big" lot of success and that Sunny's saying 'YOU HAVE TO HAVE PERSONALITY WHEN YOU'RE NOT BORN?' is still as relevant as ever.
