MS Wissenschaft: The exhibition for the whole family
From June 4 to 7, 2026, the MS Wissenschaft exhibition ship will make its first stop in Wolgast. On board, everything revolves around our health in the Science Year 2026 - Medicine of the Future. Visitors can discover in the exhibition what researchers are currently working on so that we can detect diseases even earlier and more precisely and treat them better in the future. Admission is free. Visitors can get active themselves at around 30 interactive stations below deck of the former cargo ship. For example, they can playfully identify and fight cancer cells, insert a new hip joint, virtually immerse themselves in the operating room of the future, measure their own heartbeat using a camera or detect a bone fracture using ultrasound and artificial intelligence. At three stations, visitors can also explore the latest research into diseases such as dementia, diabetes and endometriosis. There are free highlight tours of the exhibition every day at 5 p.m. and at 11 a.m. at weekends; registration is not required. A free audio guide in German and English and an audio tour for children are also available. The MS Wissenschaft is organized by Wissenschaft im Dialog and is touring 36 small and large cities in Germany, Poland and Austria between May and September on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
