Built at the end of the 17th century, Schmarsow Castle - one of the oldest buildings in the region - is located on Dorfstraße in the middle of the village of Schmarsow, which has around 300 inhabitants, 12 km south-east of the Hanseatic town of Demmin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It offers vacation apartments, regular cooking courses and culture.
