On Sunday, October 4, at 11 a.m., female artists from GEDOK M-V will present a matinee at the Kulturforum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus on the theme of the current exhibition CHRONOS & KAIROS.
Writer Carmen Blazejewski and mezzo-soprano Sophia Maeno will improvise with words, songs, and sounds, using a voice box and a loop station. Carmen Blazejewski will read from her story *IM GARTEN*. Here, mother and daughter, resignation and new beginnings, youth and old age, death and life, the deceased father and the grandfather still fully devoted to life, a roebuck and a human being all come together. Sophia Maeno sings songs on the themes of transience and self-assertion. She also improvises with singing and sounds, a voice box, and a loop station in response to the text being read. In dialogue, the two women joyfully and experimentally develop conversations, thoughts, and impressions that can only blossom *IN THE GARDEN*.
Admission to the matinee is free.
The exhibition at the Kulturforum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus, Puschkinstraße 12, 19055 Schwerin, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and runs through November 22, 2026.
