Martin Fromme is the PARAdiesvogel of the German humor scene.
Martin Fromme is the PARAdiesvogel of the German humor scene. With his "ARMleuchter" program, he mixes comedy, cabaret, films, music and satire to create a unique show. He sheds light on the world of people with disabilities and asks questions that no one else dares to ask: Do deaf people only drink still water? Wouldn't a seeing-eye dog be better than a guide dog? Are there Tourette's politicians or trembling sign language interpreters? With biting wit and a sharp eye, Fromme reveals absurdities and taboos, sometimes charmingly, sometimes brutally. He recalls times when wheelchair users had to settle their divorces in marketplaces and shows that inclusion is often still a matter of the head. Germany's only asymmetrical comedian reformats the hard disk: no second-hand humor, but new, different, surprising. One audience member said: "Currently the strongest antidepressant on the market."
