deep strings, a chamber jazz duo featuring singer and cellist Anne-Christin Schwarz and cellist Stephan Braun. They captivate every listener with their brilliant timing, amazing virtuosity and breathtaking new playing techniques on the cello. In addition to the use of electronic effects and live looping, their music reveals a unique approach to rhythm, melody and language - a mixture of lyrical pop melodies, virtuoso jazz improvisations and Latin American folklore, far removed from the usual pop music culture.
deep strings, are first prize winners at the Jazz & Blues Award Berlin and have performed at the New Directions Cello Festival in Boston, the Vivacello Festival in Moscow, the Cello Biennale in Amsterdam, the Thüringer Jazzmeile, the Jazzrally Düsseldorf and the Bachfest Leipzig, among others. At their concerts, they often perform with renowned guests and are in demand as guest musicians themselves. They have performed with the Amaryllis Quartet at the Heidelberger Frühling, the Armida Quartet at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival and made their Irish debut with the Vogler Quartet at the Drumcliffe Music Festival in Sligo. Her program Façon has also been performed in collaboration with larger ensembles such as the Hamburg Camerata and the Klaipéda Chamber Orchestra from Lithuania
