The Cat's Back, alias ANNE HARMSEN, is an event! With accordion, piano and loop station, she performs an evening full of rousing songs on her own. The Cat's Back wanders back and forth between blues, folk, rock'n'roll and ballads with virtuosity and great ease. Born in Amsterdam, The Cat's Back is versatile and has a powerful voice. She interprets well-known songs by Nina Simone, Édith Piaf, Tom Waits, Alice Merton, Jacques Brel and many others and sings her own songs in her unmistakable style. Whether in German, English, French or Dutch, these songs are beautifully wistful and tender, tongue-in-cheek, poignant and refreshing.
