Michael Bittner is a political columnist, critical connoisseur of the German mental landscape and satirist with an extra talent for highly comical stories. When he writes about jogging pants, snoring or political over-correctness in language, his readers are left neither thinking nor laughing. And when he reflects on "perceived temperature", his way of thinking ultimately leads him to an analysis of democracy. No observation of everyday life is too superficial for him not to delve into seemingly absurd depths full of mockery. In all of this, Bittner's great strength is his self-irony - knowing full well that he himself is also one of the "Germans in the wind".
