The Leipziger Pfeffermühle theatre company is performing its show ‘da capo’.
"DA CAPO" PROGRAM
featuring Burkhard Damrau, Peter Percy, and Dieter Richter,
with musical accompaniment by Hartmut Schwarze or Andreas Gutzschebauch (piano) and Bob Korward (drums)
…It’s always a pleasure to reunite. Especially where political satire is the order of the day—in cabaret. With the Pfeffermüller trio—Burkhard Damrau, Peter Percy, and Dieter Richter—this reunion is something truly special. With unforgettable and still-relevant scenes about shady characters, tricksters, deceivers, and con artists—all of whom are taken to task here—the three protagonists of the Pfeffermühle, under the motto “Come on, laugh a little!”, mercilessly push the audience’s tear ducts to the limit.
The government is in the red, citizens’ wallets are empty, the vulture of bankruptcy circles unabashedly overhead, and a portion of the population wants the “zero -day workweek” with full pay, members of the Bundestag (and not just them) pay nothing into the pension fund but want “old-timers” to keep slaving away until they drop, Environmental problems are now being glossed over, while at the same time trees are being cleared en masse to feed the ever-growing number of blockheads around the world.
Damrau, Percy, and Richter draw on their entire acting and singing repertoire to conjure up the craziest topics on stage with sharp wit and plenty of humor.
A magnificent satirical all-male cast with a “da capo effect” and guaranteed laughs!
