Concert with the NDR Bigband
In this program, the NDR Big Band honours Johann Sebastian Bach's legacy with the premiere performance of works by contemporary composers: the commissioned works by Tim Hagans (USA), Florian Ross (Germany), Percy Pursglove (Great Britain) and Luigi Grasso (Italy) were written for the 80th Greifswald Bach Week. The concert is a tribute to the influence of Bach's compositions on musicians of all generations right up to the present day. It celebrates the essence of Baroque music and at the same time explores its relevance in today's musical landscape.
