A Cultural and Ornithological Journey Through Estonia. Lecture by Adrian Gerloff
Estonia’s breathtaking diversity as a breeding habitat and stopover site for migratory birds is the focus of a new lecture at the Karower Meiler Nature Park Center, to which nature lovers, ornithologists, and anyone interested are cordially invited.
The guest speaker is Adrian Gerloff (Tallinn), a biologist and nature tour guide who has lived in Estonia for 25 years.
In addition to a detailed description of the natural environment of the northern Baltic region, the lecture will provide an in-depth look at the characteristic landscapes of the six national parks and the key species found in each habitat. The lecture offers fascinating insights into Estonia’s birdlife—from spectacular photos of rare species to relevant background information on the situation both within and outside protected areas. In addition, attendees can expect tips and suggestions regarding opportunities for guided birding trips to Estonia.
The lecture at the Karower Meiler Nature Park Center will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Admission is €5 (free for children 14 and under).
