First Friday of the month is movie time in Malchow
Philippe is rich and intelligent, but he needs help in his everyday life as he is paralyzed from the neck down. When he hires a new carer, he chooses Driss, a young black man who has just been released from prison, much to the dismay of his friends and confidants. Driss' direct and cheerful character impresses Philippe, who suffers particularly from the pity of those around him. An unusual male friendship develops between the two.
