How do we encounter artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday life? What opportunities does it offer - and where are the risks? Answers to these questions will be provided by a major information and action day on the topic of AI. The event, which is part of the nationwide Digital Day, is aimed at all interested parties - regardless of age or previous knowledge. Together with the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (LfDI MV), the library of the Barlachstadt invites you to a varied day of action with various hands-on and information stations. Guests can try out, discuss and learn at several exciting stations. A research group from the University of Rostock will also be presenting how artificial intelligence is used in the field of animal welfare. The program is complemented by a poster exhibition on the sustainability of AI, which deals with resource consumption, costs and the environmental impact of modern AI systems. Anyone who visits all the stations and answers the quiz questions will receive a cell phone holder as a give-away, which can be personalized with their name using a laser cutter. In addition, a few small snacks and drinks will help you to make the most of the information gained over the lunch period without an upset stomach.
