Musical based on the play "It was the lark" by Ephraim Kishon
Music by Dov Seltzer | Lyrics by Yvette Kolb
"Love is in the air" - but what if great love doesn't end in tragic death, but has to survive in everyday married life? Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet - the most famous love story of all time. A couple, madly in love, united forever. But Ephraim Kishon dares to conduct a thought experiment: what if Juliet had awoken in time and the two were now - 30 years later - stuck in Verona? Romeo is a failed ballet teacher and Juliet cuts no better figure in her role as a housewife. Both fail because of the banality of everyday life. Their daughter Lucretia is living out her puberty, the nurse has her own love desires and Father Lorenzo, now a proud 98 years old, doesn't bring any new impetus to the whole affair. When William Shakespeare himself suddenly appears to put his tragedy right, the situation escalates for good.
