Irish live music in a medieval church on Lake Maggiore in Ticino, with whiskey, beer, and a great atmosphere.
The Friends of the Groß Tessin Village Church Association (Förderverein zur Erhaltung der Dorfkirche Groß Tessin e.V.) hosts a concert every year. This year’s concert will be entirely dedicated to the Emerald Isle.
The band “IrLichter” will perform and create a lively atmosphere with traditional Irish music and instruments.
Experience has shown that the high vaults of the medieval church enhance the experience even further thanks to their magnificent acoustics!
Drinks and light refreshments will be available before the concert, during intermission, and afterward. There will likely be some typical Irish treats as well, such as whiskey or Guinness beer.
100% of the proceeds from sales go toward the preservation of the church, as has been the custom for years.
Those who arrive early can cool off in Lake Gross Tessiner below the church.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m.; admission is 5 euros for visitors 18 and older.
