Experience NATURE at IGA Park Rostock
Herbs delight us with their diverse aromas. Especially at lunchtime, mint, lavender, thyme, lemon balm, rosemary, basil, and others give off their distinctive scents. These aromas can be stimulating, invigorating, harmonizing, or calming. They can be used for more than just food and drinks. Various tea blends or herbal potpourri can be prepared with dried herbs. But bath salts, bath truffles, body oils, room sprays, and lip balms can also be made with these aromas.
Now is also the time to focus on propagating our herbs. Seeds should also be harvested now. If you have too many seeds left over—for example, from arugula, radishes, cress, or Asian greens—you can use them to grow sprouts or microgreens during the cold season.
Expert Annelore Sedat will show you how to do all of this yourself.
The event will take place in the upper seminar room of the Mecklenburger Hallenhaus and can be accessed via the North Entrance, coming from Groß Klein. It ends around 5:30 p.m. The participation fee is €5 per person, payable on site.
