Reading with music with Dr. Angela Pfennig and Hermann Busse | Participation: 15 euros
"The occupation with earth and plants can give the soul a similar relief and peace as meditation."
Hermann Hesse
"Hermann Hesse had his own garden for about half of his life. Like painting, working outdoors was a relaxing break from his desk job. This 'gardening make-believe work' was, as he said, his 'refuge from the world of paper'. It also helped him to spin out imaginary threads, for meditation and contemplation. As with all his experiences and observations, Hesse also gave an account of this activity and reported his experiences of the practical handling of nature, the harmonious interplay of ornamental and useful plants, flowers, shrubs and trees, their growth and decay with the changing seasons in observations and poems."

The reading in a private garden in Stralsund will be musically accompanied by saxophone improvisations by Hermann Busse.
