The Rostock University of Music and Drama as a guest
The project was created as a cooperation between the Verein für Neue Musik MV e.V. and the MV regional association of the German Composers' Association. At the center is the Sonata No. 2 in A minor BWV 1003 for solo violin as a compositional point of reference. The four movements of the work are joined by four newly composed works, each of which is a "commentary" on one of the movements of Bach's sonata, as well as a fifth work that introduces the project. The composers Dr. Julia Deppert Lang, Malte Hübner, Prof. Dr. Dr. Benjamin Lang, Prof. Peter Manfred Wolf and Prof. Dr. Birger Petersen will be present and are looking forward to an exciting exchange.
