Latin I Jazz I Tango with L'art de Passage
Tobias Morgenstern - accordion, Stefan Kling - piano, Wolfgang Musick - bass, Jansen Folkers - violin
After L'art de Passage formed in 1987, the artist Gerhard Schöne promptly engaged them as the backing band for his 1988 concerts and the cult album "Du hast es nur noch nicht probiert - Live" was released, followed the following year by the jazz/tango/world music band's first own album "Sehnsucht nach Veränderung", which is the most successful jazz album in the GDR with around 50,000 copies sold (there are also few jazz productions in Germany that achieve such sales). Their virtuosity did not go unnoticed by Rio Reiser and Reinhard Mey, among others, who invited them into the studio for their albums. Tobias Morgenstern also played the accordion on the super hit "Kling Klang" as a guest with Keimzeit. As a jazz band, they toured all over Europe, releasing 11 albums in the last 25 years. Tobias Morgenstern supported the artists musically in the studio with Armin Müller-Stahl and at concerts with Günther Fischer. The new album HORIZON, their 12th, has just been released on the long-established Buschfunk label. L'art de Passage are musically more eventful than ever before.
The artists, who have been playing together for over 35 years, span an arc between the band's well-known repertoire pieces and completely new compositions, mixing up styles in the usual way, e.g. tango, jazz and milonga, Latin, classic recomposed, folk, minimal and more.
Let yourself be inspired by thoroughbred musicians whose music goes straight to the heart!
