Clothes swap with repair corner creates an open space for sustainability, encounters and creativity. Clothes are swapped, repaired or upgraded. Community is created over coffee and conversation. Leftover items are donated. The offer takes place regularly.
The clothes swap with repair corner invites people to rediscover clothes, get creative and experience community. Clothing is more than just a commodity - it tells stories and connects people. This is exactly what the project builds on: Everyone brings up to ten items in good condition (no underwear or swimwear, please) and can find new favorite pieces in return - without any money, without valuation, simply in exchange.
A central element is the repair corner. Here, items of clothing can be repaired, embellished or redesigned with support. Small embroideries, new buttons, patches or creative ideas turn supposedly "broken" items into something special again. This creates appreciation for what is already there.
The clothes swap is deliberately more than just a swap format. In conjunction with the "Tisch" work café, it creates a place where people can talk, learn from each other, laugh and share time together. Coffee and cake create a warm, inviting atmosphere in which encounters are easy.
Clothes that are not taken are donated and passed on in a meaningful way - nothing ends up in the bin, everything stays in circulation. The offer should take place regularly and become a place to which people like to return.
The project combines sustainability, creativity and social proximity. Those who take part not only go home with new clothes, but also with inspiring conversations, new contacts and the feeling of being part of something meaningful.
