The Graal-Müritz Music Collective (that's what we're calling it for now) is an open music ensemble that is now rehearsing weekly on Mondays in the Haus des Gastes. Initiated by musician and ensemble coach Robert Ortmann, it is aimed at anyone who doesn't just want to consume music - but create it themselves.
Together. With real musical aspirations. Without entrance exams.
The opening evening on April 13 is neither a concert nor an audition. It's about getting to know the format, the idea, the other people. If you want to listen, listen - if you want to join in directly, join in. Both fit.
What is being created here?
An ensemble that is growing. Locals and guests, beginners and experienced, singers and instrumentalists - Mondays, 7 to 9 pm. The repertoire develops democratically: no one alone decides what music is played. Robert Ortmann ensures that each song can be played by everyone at their own level.
Perspective: public performances, outdoor rehearsals etc. But that comes later.
First comes Monday.
FAQ
Do I have to be able to play an instrument?
No. Singers, instrumentalists, beginners and experienced musicians are equally welcome. If you are unsure, you can simply listen in on the first evening - and decide for yourself when it is the right time to join in.
Do I have to attend regularly?
No. The format is deliberately open. A binding commitment is not necessary, spontaneous participation is expressly possible.
What does participation cost?
Participation is on a donation basis. No membership fee, no entrance fee.
Do I have to register?
Registration is welcome, but not a prerequisite. Anyone who comes to the Haus des Gastes on Monday evenings at 7 pm is welcome.

What exactly happens on the first evening?
April 13 is an introductory evening. Robert Ortmann will introduce the concept, there will be space for questions and discussions - and a first musical introduction for anyone who wants to. No pressure, no expectations.
Who leads the ensemble?
Robert Ortmann - musician, ensemble coach and instrumental teacher, trained at the Rostock University of Music and Drama, with many years of stage and ensemble experience in Germany and abroad.
Who is the Collective for?
For all adults interested in music - locals and vacation guests alike. Anyone who wants to actively make music in an open, quality-oriented community is in the right place here.
