On June 8 at 7 p.m., Prof. Dr. Herbert Müller will once again be a guest at the City Library. This time, it's not the numbers that are on his mind. The lecture is based on the author's book "Lustiges, Merkwürdiges, Unglaubliches - Reiserlebnisse in 6 Jahrzehnten auf 5 Kontinenten". The book is not a classic travel guide, the personal and amusing experiences during the trips are formative and therefore also in the foreground in the lecture.
The first trip in the six decades was a youth tourist trip to Moscow, Sochi and Kyiv in 1964. The last trip to be included in the book was a Baltic Sea cruise in 2024. In between, he traveled to North, Central and South America, North and South Africa, China and India.
For the author, who is an honorary member of the Bibliotheksverein - Förderverein der Stadtbibliothek e.V., it is a matter of course to waive a fee in favor of the library and its association.
The book can be borrowed from the city library and the university library.
Tickets for the lecture are now available in advance for 5 euros at the city library, Ulmenstr. 15. Remaining tickets are available at the box office for 7 euros. Advance bookings can be made on 03841 251 4020 or stadtbibliothek@wismar.de
