A very special kind of KunstGemischtWarenLaden (ArtMixedGoodsShop): on display are kneaded and painted works as well as AI-generated found objects by Birgit Walter & Frank Käubler. An inspiring mix of craftsmanship, color and digital imagination - colorful, surprising and with a wink. The exhibition is open at Galerie Breedehus from May 29 to June 29, 2025, Monday to Saturday from 12 to 5 pm.
After 2024, the exhibition space of the Breedehus Gallery next to the school museum in Middelhagen will be transformed into an Uncle and Aunt Emma store with the flair of the 1970s.
Birgit Walter and Frank Käubler from Frankfurt (Oder) will be running this unusual temporary KunstGemischtWarenLaden for a month.
Frank Käubler is taking on the special challenges of the kneading technique with his work on a homage to Volkmar Herre's Mönchgut photographs.
Birgit Walter's painting follows the black, grey and white color spectrum of Frank Käubler's kneading works with maritime motifs and thus challenges the viewer to an unusual, accentuated perspective.
On offer:
- exclusively freshly kneaded and painted regional goods, in the equally kneaded store
- brand new AI-generated findings and objects from the Lobber hoard from the Viking Age
- Journey through the cosmos of plasticine in a small outer space
Let yourself be inspired to interact with lots of plasticine and succumb to the magic of black and white as if in a dream.
