Described as "magnetic" and "impressive" (Houston Chronicle), marimbist Fumito Nunoya is one of the leading international performers on this rare and versatile instrument. "Fumito Nunoya has mastered the art of making his marimba literally sing", is how "Online Musik Magazin" praised the Japanese artist's expressive, poetic and concise style. In addition to commissioned compositions and world premieres of numerous new works for marimba, Nunoya repeatedly creates unique programs, including adaptations of classical music by Bach and Piazzolla, but also film music or popular songs, for which he is celebrated by audiences, critics and the media.
