As part of FRida Women's Day Week, this special guided tour of the Sellin pier takes you through the past and present. Architecture, moving stories, female perspectives and a view of the Baltic Sea combine to create an inspiring break to mark International Women's Day.
As part of FRida Women's Day Week and to mark International Women's Day, this exclusive tour invites you to experience the Sellin pier from a special perspective. The tour leads from the descent via stairs or elevator down to the bridge house and the diving gondola.
The focus is on the history and current life of the pier, its architectural significance and fascinating insights into its construction, demolition and reconstruction. The role of Hans Knospe is also addressed, complemented by impressive stories from the past and present - including a true love story that began here.
In keeping with the occasion, the focus is also on women, without whom Sellin would not be Sellin: on heroines behind the scenes, on female perspectives and on consciously pausing to reflect on this special place. The tour combines information with breathing space and self-care - supported by the atmosphere, the architecture and the sweeping view over the Baltic Sea.
At the end, there is the opportunity to toast this special day with a glass of sparkling wine or a drink of your choice. You have to pay for the drinks yourself.
The ascent to the top is also possible by elevator.
Due to the minimum number of participants, please register in advance by calling 0157 85103932.
